Baptism: Church in mind

I was just browsing the net for something to do...to keep my mind off counting the days of the arrival of Far-ouT! Flight details as follows:

Flight: Emirates Airline EK 0334
Departing At 09:45 AM Terminal 3
Arriving At 10:35 PM International 1

Hoping and praying for a safe flight home!

Then something just struck my mind...Bella is coming out too! And I haven't finalize the details yet of her baptism...which we need to do before Far-ouT's going back to Dubai. I am on my panic mode now. I was even talking to my daughter to come out early as soon as Tatay is here and now, I felt guilty not attending the preparation of her christening. MY BAD!!!

I went through my overstuffed USB and was able to open all the details that I gathered from previous researches. I was trying to open this USB for months and now all it need was a mode of panic and viola! There it is...
Ok, so I want to do this one at a time...Let's start with the church. I want a special baptism for our first child. We want it solemn and intimate. It will be less of a hassle to our baby, to us and to our invited guests if the ceremony will be exclusively for us. No hustle and bustle of other people.

Note that one of the things to consider in my next quest for preparing a special occasion is BUDGET. My previous project was a disaster when it comes to budgeting, though, I didn't regret the money we spent. It was still not a practical thing now that we have added a little precious one to our growing family.

So here are some of the churches that I am considering:

Santuario de San Antonio
McKinley road, Forbes Park, Makati
Contact Number: 8438830-31
Requirements: Referral Letter from your parish where you live, copy of child's birth certificate
Fee: Special baptism rites cost P3,000
Baptism Schedule: 1:30PM, 2:15PM, 3:00PM, 3:45PM

This is our priority. Hopefully will be able to get a slot for 28th June. Since this church is located in Makati. We planned to reserve once baby bella is out in the open.

Another church that I am considering is

Christ the King
Contact Number: 6330280
Baptism schedule: Saturdays and Sundays 10:00A.M. and 4:00P.M.
Fee: for the first 2 pairs of godparents P200.00 and any additional is P30 per godparent.
"If you want solo saturdays and sundays also, 9:00 or 11:00 A.M (i dont have idea on what time sa hapon) it cost naman P3,200.00. P2,200 if bringing own priest
You need to be there 30 mins before the baptism. just bring a photocopy and original birth cert, marriage cert and list of your godparents. You don't need to block the date if you will get the 10:00 and 4:00 baptism. Just be there on that day. But if you want solo please reserve your chosen day. Maganda yung katabi ng chapel sa baba. i suggest yun ang pa-reserve nyo if you want solo. They also have venue there para hindi na kyo malayo. Parents to provide candles for the sponsors."(information provided by a fellow N@wies)

Very nice indeed. However, this is way too far from Makati. But if SSA will not be available on our target date, this is next in line.

Other churches that I am eyeing are Sanctuario de San Jose (where we got married), Don Bosco (8945932) and National Shrine of the Sacred Heart (8956331). Once Far-ouT is here, we can schedule a day to scout these places...

Our budget for church: P3000.

Creepy Crawler bite me

Today is such a long and tiring day for me. I slept late last night because I was caught up on searching for possible tips on how to budget. I really got inspired on a lot of things from a lot of people. But that is not what this is all about. As early as 3:00 AM this morning. My day began. I was bitten by a centipede on my neck! I dont know how in the hell it got there! Maybe our place is old that everything just crawl. I wasn't able to sleep after that. I immediately open the PC and google everything I could find on these creepy crawlers. I was so damn scared not for me but for my unborn child. I was so paranoid that something might happen to her because of that A-hole who just ranshacked my not-so-peaceful sleep. After all these years of sleeping on the very same bed, why now? When I am protecting someone else. I was really pissed off! My mom immediately woke up when she heard me shout and we found the culprit. Unfortunately, all she could find was one pack of diaper to stop the damn thing...obviously, it ran away. But she didn't stop and search again. Well, he was just hiding somewhere on the mattress. This time...he was not that lucky...and you know what happens to a centipede when he messed up with a pregnant lady? Same thing happens to a toad when struck by lightning. Storm is that you?

But that's not all. I was prepared already to go for my weekly check up. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and first IE (scary!). I had to pee...but our toilet was not available at the time due to some repairing. So I went to my brother's house to relieve myself. I was about to use their bidet for the first time. When it just snapped. The sprayer separated from the hose. I guess it was a cheap brand since it was the second time they replaced it. but unfortunately, I was the last one who laid a hand on it so I need to pay for that cheap damn thing. The only consolation that I have is... it is cheap. Hehehe!

We don't usually take taxi to go to hospital when i have an appointment. I prefer commuting on jeep, MRT, bus. It is not only cheaper but I use it as an exercise for my now huge feet (Ok, i exaggerated it a little). I was also worried that the driver might asks for additional money aside from the one on the meter. But luckily (thank God) he did not. And so everything went well. I saw may daughter from the monitor, with her hand hiding her face. I talked to her that I wanted to see her but maybe she wants to surprise everybody. And so we just let her do her thing.

My mom and I had our lunch at Pizza hut with their new dish...honey lamb chops something...it was delicious by the way...you should try it. We enjoyed the meal that we take all the time that we had. Unfortunately, this cause us to missed my OB for some emergency...just a split of a second.
I was so frustrated because we need to go back tomorrow. The travel time is difficult for me especially now that I am due any time soon. But anything for our Baby Bella. Hopefully...tomorrow will be a new day for me.

Wedding Anniversary

18th May 2009. It’s been a year since Far-ouT and I said our I Do’s and how time flies so fast. Parang kailan lang, we were preparing for our much-awaited wedding, then enjoying every minute of being together as husband and wife, sharing the joy when we were blessed with our upcoming baby, supporting each other with my difficult pregnancy. Holding on and being strong when we need to temporarily separate in preparation of my delivery.

We didn’t have the luxury to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary together as much as we would have wanted to (with him working abroad and I waiting for our baby Bella to come out anytime soon). But that would not be a hindrance to make our day complete. We prepared two separate simple handaan to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

I prepared pansit for long life together and made a refrigerator cake to make it sweeter? Hehehe! Far-ouT bought some pizza for our flatmates. We may be far away from each other but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to remember and celebrate it in spirit. But the best part of it all is, my Far-ouT decided to surprise me with cake and flowers even from afar. Can’t help but smile with his sweet gesture. Our 1st year wedding anniversary is complete.
